  You’d almost be excused for missing this hidden gem while ambling along the foreshore of Russell. But DON’T! Just follow your nose and let it lead you astray...
  
  Tucked away between the Gables and an historic church, is the back entrance to a beer and pizza wonderland of mystical proportions.
  
  Unlike its namesake, Hone’s vibe is warm and welcoming. The bar shares visual space with an open kitchen, from where the most delectable gourmet pizzas are ferried to waiting mouths for greedy inhalation.
  
  Patrons engage in the battle of the bulge while seated at rustic tables amidst a garden of succulents. A cosy nook offers deep cushioned comfort and serves as a romantic recovery area.
  
  Wash away your gleeful sins with a craft brew or fine Kiwi vino. After all, you’re on holidays in Russel; so forget the hell of dietary discipline and live life a little while here!
  
  Tip:
  If travelling down the Main Street, the entrance to Hone’s is a lot easier to spot. Just look for the vertical garden of succulents, pretty much opposite the Four Square grocery store.
